The 87th Annual Plaza Art Fair

Held Friday, September 21, 2018 through Sunday, September 23, 2018, The Plaza Art Fair encompasses nine city blocks and welcomes a crowd of over 250,000. Featuring 240 artists, the Plaza Art Fair is atop-ranked, national art event with three live music stages and over 25 featured restaurant booths. It continues to be a weekend of people simply celebrating art and each other, as well as Kansas City’s unofficial welcome to the fall season.

Q: What are the hours of the Plaza Art Fair?
A: Friday, Sept. 20: 5pm – 10pm; Saturday, Sept. 21: 10am – 10pm; Sunday, Sept. 22: 11am – 5pm.

Q: What is the date and future dates of the Plaza Art Fair?
A: The Plaza Art Fair is always held the 3rd weekend AFTER Labor Day. The 2020 Plaza Art Fair is September 25, 26 & 27.

Q: Where is parking available for the Plaza Art Fair?
A: All of the Country Club Plaza parking garages are open and free to the public. Click here for a parking map.

Q: Where are the restrooms located during the Plaza Art Fair?
A: Restrooms are located at just about every entrance and exit to the Plaza Art Fair. 

Q: Are dogs allowed at the Plaza Art Fair?
A: Dogs are always welcome at Country Club Plaza. The Plaza Art Fair is a unique three-day event that can be challenging for pets. We want to keep all Art Fair attendees – human and furry friends – happy. We ask that pet owners use their best judgement to determine whether or not the Art Fair is the right event for their dog. Q: Is handicap parking available?
A: Handicapped parking is available in all Plaza parking lots and garages. Valencia Garage at 47th Street & Pennsylvania offers an especially ample amount of handicapped parking.
    Individuals with mobility concerns and companions are invited to participate in accessibility hour at the Plaza Art Fair. It will be from 11am to noon on Sunday Sept. 22. However, the Plaza Art Fair is fully accessible to all individuals with mobility concerns during all hours throughout the weekend. 

Q: Is there bicycle parking?
A: Yes. Bike racks are located in the Granada Garage (near Country Club Bank Drive-Thru), Valencia Garage (top level) and Central Garage (near Classic Cup Café).

A: Plaza Art Fair Merchandise is available at either of our Polsinelli Information Booths (Nichols Road & Central or Broadway & Ward Parkway).

A: You can find an ATM at the banks located on the Plaza: 
• Country Club Bank (Nichols Road, between Kendra Scott and Panache)
• Bank of America (corner of 47th Street and Pennsylvania)
• Commerce Bank (corner of Wyandotte and 47th Street)

Q: Is there a section for kids?
A: The Plaza Art Fair always has interactive and creative projects for kids! Stop by the Pembroke Hill Children’s Art Booth on the Broadway block between 47th Street and Nichols Road. All ages are welcome!

Q: Is there a fee to get in to the Plaza Art Fair?
A: No, there is no charge to enter to the fair.

Q: Is the fair canceled if it rains?
A: No, the fair will go on rain or shine.  We will monitor National Weather Service Advisory in cases of inclement weather.

Q: May I pass out literature to guests at the fair?
A: No, solicitation is not allowed per the Plaza Art Fair’s City of Kansas City permit.
